AICE Media Studies AS- Wickline, A

After  I  wait ed  the rest  of the  week,  I received no responses from the professional golfers. I  decided to go with my back up plan and interview someone from my school.  I have a few options and whoever gets back to me first is who I will choose to interview and photograph.  My first option, Roxana  Simeonova , has been golfing for  the past 7 years, and is one of my closer friends. Next, Lilly Sikorski, I do not know very well I have only heard of her through other people.  With this in mind, I began writing my interview questions for my feature article, and working on a rough draft of my cover.  Next,  after scouting various locations  I have determined where I will take my photos .   I will be using the  Village Green golf course. I myself am very familiar with the course, and find it very visually pleasing so it will be the perfect spot to  take my pictures.   

  Wednesday December 16, 2020:   I messaged 5 of the world's top 20 women's golfers on Instagram in hopes to receive an interview and a photoshoot.  Danielle Kang, Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson,  and Jennifer Kupcho. I am currently waiting for their respon s es .   Seeing as these women are very popular, I will most likely not receive a response from any of them . If this is the case, I will focus on someone more local, or even somebody that attends my school.   For the interview I plan to write a script of  questions that  I will ask my interviewee. For the photos I will need props such as clubs and attire. Surely the golfer I’m interviewing will have these things on-hand, but  I will still contact her first before the photoshoot. The most challenging part about the story board for me was the artwork. I have never been good at drawing so it took me a bit to get exactly what I was looking for. However, this is not an issue going forward with my actual magazine was not an issue, since I will be taking pictures rather than drawing them. I think the thing that I liked most about the storyboard was its flexibility. " One of the best things about this process is its flexibility. You don't have to follow the rules exactly. And you can change the boards around easily" (Higgins, 1995). This quote resonated with me heavily because of how much it  related to my favorite part about the storyboard. The storyboard was so enjoyable for me mainly because I didn't have to worry if my work was right or wrong, and I could do it exactly how I wanted to do it.
